Cherry #1 Clue: this sweet cherry variety originated in Washington State and is primarily grown here. In fact, it’s rumored that the mother tree still resides in Prosser! Large with shades of golden yellow, this famous cherry is naturally super-sweet.
Cherry #2 Clue: this dark sweet cherry has a distinctive heart shape and is known for its incredible sweet flavor and juiciness. Also grown primarily in Washington State, this cherry is commonly sold both fresh and frozen. It is delicious by the handful or used in baking.
Cherry #3 Clue: these smaller, sour cherries grow well in Washington, just like their sweet cousins. They are also known as Montmorency cherries, which is the most common variety in America. These intense cherries are known for making amazing cherry pies!
