SustainabilityIs Our Nature

Local Cherries, Zero Waste Processing

We compost all pits, stems, and leaves from over 500,000 pounds of fresh cherries locally.

Responsible Chocolate

Chukar sources its chocolate from a family-owned manufacturer known for its commitment to responsible cocoa production.

Better Packaging

We prioritize using Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper and recycled materials for our packaging, much of which is recyclable.

Carbon Neutral Shipping

We buy carbon offsets for every delivery through OneTreePlanted.org.

Sustainable Power

We've invested in high-efficiency equipment to reduce our environmental impact, with over 93% of our energy coming from carbon-neutral hydroelectric sources.

When our family opened Chukar in 1988, we decided that Chukar® fruits would be regionally sourced, crafted with minimal or no added sugar, and free of preservatives & artificial ingredients. We remain committed to this promise, crafting only the Best of Nature, Best of Chocolate®.

Good Manufacturing

We manufacture most everything we sell using just-in-time manufacturing principles to ensure freshness and minimize waste. We are committed to sourcing from Northwest growers, many of whom we’ve worked with for decades.

The Chukar factory is committed to rigorous safety and sanitation practices. We ensure your food is safe through meticulous adherence to FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, USDA Organic standards, and Kosher certification oversight by KOF-K.
