Northwest Cherry Cobbler
An easy-to-make cherry cobbler with a tender, flaky crust.
Ingredients
- 1 jar Chukar® Sour Cherry or Triple Cherry Pie Filling
- 1 1\/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1\/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3\/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1\/2 cups heavy whipping cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat an 8 or 9-inch square baking dish or a 9-inch pie pan with butter.
Pour 1 jar of Chukar® Sour Cherry or Triple Cherry Pie Filling into the baking dish; set aside.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
Add the heavy whipping cream to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; the dough will be sticky.
Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto the fruit until most of the fruit is covered.
Place the cobbler on a baking sheet to catch drips or place aluminum foil beneath it in the oven. Bake until the topping is turning golden brown around the edges and the fruit filling is bubbling, about 45 minutes.
Let the cobbler cool before serving.
