Rainier Cherry Overnight Oats
A hearty, prep-ahead breakfast with pops of naturally sweet Rainier cherries. For a hearty breakfast, look to oats as the ideal base. Oats pair with just about any flavor, and one of our favorite ways to prep them is by making overnight oats. Stir together a quick mixture, divvy it up in jars, and make Chukar® Cherries Dried Rainier Cherries the star of the show. You’ll have pops of natural sweetness in every bite with this prep-ahead breakfast. Enjoy overnight oats on their own or add a variety of toppings including Chukar® Sweet Cherry Preserves, Greek yogurt, and plenty of extra cherries on top.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 4 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup, optional
- 4 to 6 tablespoons chopped Chukar® Dried Rainier Cherries
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the oats, chia seeds, milk, vanilla or almond extract, maple syrup, and dried cherries. Stir well to combine.
- Divide the mixture between two jars and seal each with a lid. Let sit in the fridge overnight or for at least six hours. Top with Chukar® Sweet Cherry Preserves, Greek yogurt, nuts, seeds, or additional dried cherries.
